Ray Pennington

FORT WORTH -- Ray Boyce Pennington passed from this life Saturday, March 6, 2010.        Memorials: In lieu of flowers, cards or gifts, the family requests that donations be made to Heritage Church of Christ Benevolence Ministry Program, 4201 Heritage Trace Parkway, Fort Worth, Texas 76244.        Boyce was born Nov. 10, 1930, in Willis, Okla., to Robert and Ella Lee Pennington. Boyce married Grace Katheryne Baker on Nov. 22, 1951. They raised three children.        Boyce held a bachelor's degree, two master's degrees and a Ph.D. He worked 58 years at the university level in positions as division chair, academic dean and assistant to the president. His love, however, was always the theater. He directed every type of production as well as supervising children's theatrical plays.        Survivors: His wife of 58 years; children, Clara Lee and her husband, James, Robert Forrest and his wife, Deana, and Elizabeth Anne; mother-in-law, Hattie Baker; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
