Raymond Edward Diver COLLEYVILLE -- Raymond Edward Diver, 90, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014. Graveside service: 4:30 p.m. Friday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements are by Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Ray Diver to Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 1000 Tinker Road, Colleyville, Texas 76034. Raymond Edward, son of Pauline Travinsky Diver and John Diver, was born June 16 and raised in Chicago, Ill. He spent many happy childhood summers in Lake Como, Wis. On Oct. 1, 1949, Ray was united in marriage to Anna Rita Vesecky. Together with their five children, Ray and Rita lived in the Chicago, Ill., and Milwaukee, Wis., areas before moving to Fort Worth in 1970. Ray was employed at American LaFrance in Chicago and later at Fire Boss and the U.S. Department of Agriculture locally. He retired in 1995. During their retirement, Ray and Rita fulfilled a lifelong dream by building a new home. Ray was an accomplished organist and accordionist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita, and his brothers, John, Eugene and Leonard. Survivors: Children and their families, Janet Hickey (David), Joy Webb (David), Edward Diver (Marsha), Susan Nowicke (Robert) and Michael Diver (Suzie); and a sister, Delores Shaw.
