EULESS -- Raymond Louis Saleh went to be with the Lord the morning of October 17, 2006. He spent 80 incredible years on this earth positively shaping and impacting the lives of his family and friends, comrades, co-workers, caregivers and those whose lives he touched throughout his journey.  A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Ray Saleh will be held at The First United Methodist Church of Euless,Texas at 2:00p.m.,Friday,October 20, with visitation on Thursday, October 19 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst.  Ray was born Jan. 5,1926 in New Haven, Connecticut, to Joseph and Mary Saleh and was the fifth among six children. He graduated Valedictorian from Commercial High School and was promptly drafted into the Army during WWII where he fought and served his country until 1946. After the war, he went to work for Chance Vought Aircraft in the elite experimental division. Ray met his beloved wife of 54 years, Mary Elizabeth "Mary Lib" Roseberry and they married June 21, 1952. Together they raised five children. In 1964, Ray was transferred to Texas and settled in Euless. He retired from Vought Aeronautics in 1988, after 45 loyal years of service, and ended his career as Manager of Field Service.  Ray loved boating, working on automobiles, building model airplanes, woodworking, studying and teaching the Bible, traveling the world, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, watching John Wayne movies and continuing his quest for knowledge. He leaves a legacy of family songs, philosophies, stories and holiday traditions, along with his living faith in God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ray has been a member of St. John's Catholic Church for 42 years. The family wishes to thank the staff at Legends Healthcare, Parkwood, and Vitas for their loving care of Ray.  Raymond is survived by his wife, Mary Lib, his brother Joseph of Naugatuck, CT., his five children and their spouses, Pam and Bob Atchison, Shreveport, LA.; Penny and Craig Stephenson, Oklahoma City, OK,; Rick and Jina Saleh, Corona, CA.; Rory and Karen Saleh, The Woodlands, TX.; Randy and Carolina Saleh, Euless, Tx.; and his seven grandchildren Jarrod and wife, Rebecca Atchison, Athens, GA.;Justin Atchison, Ithaca, NY.; Travis Stephenson, Durango,CO.;Lauren Stephenson, Stillwater, OK.; Chelsey Saleh, Corona, CA.;Cole Saleh, The Woodlands, TX.; and Gabrielle Saleh, Euless, TX.;plus many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.
