MANSFIELD -- Robbie Lee Allen Bethune, 59, a homemaker, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, at her residence. Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday in Blessing Colonial Chapel. Burial: Skyvue Memorial Gardens. Visitation: noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at Blessing Funeral Home. Robbie was born in Sherman on Sept. 18, 1947, the daughter of Robert Cecil and Elva Louise Sims Allen. She married Joe Paul Bethune in Alvarado on Oct. 25, 1975. Robbie was a former member of Oakdale Baptist Church and a current member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was formerly employed, along with her husband, at Blessing Funeral Home. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Elva Allen, and grandparents, Oscar Lee and Bertha Mae Paige Sims and Robert Siemon and Maseline Viola Jackson Allen. Survivors: Husband of 31 years, Joe Paul Bethune of Mansfield; daughters, Kelly Jean Ballard and husband, Logan Corbett Sr., of Mansfield and Mary Alice Durkin and husband, Alan Paul, of Arlington; grandchildren, Alison Lee, Ryan Paul and Shawn Alan Durkin and Logan Corbett Ballard Jr.; twin sister, Bobbie Louise Allen of Atoka, Okla.; nieces and nephews, Theresa Gail Allen Saler and husband, Jeramie, and Danny Lee Allen and wife, Patricia; great-nieces and nephews, Robert and Brandon Allen and Abigail Saler; her Blessing Funeral Home family; many extended family members and a host of friends.
