WATAUGA -- Steve Bowers, 46, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007. Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road in Hurst. The Rev. Dennis Hester, pastor, First Baptist Church of Watauga, will officiate. Visitation: The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials: Friends who desire are respectfully invited to honor Steve's memory with a memorial contribution in his name to Watauga First Baptist Church, 6124 Plum St., Watauga 76148. Steve was born April 19, 1961, in Elizabethtown, N.C., to Robert and Dee. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Arthur Callahan. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
