FORT WORTH -- Robert Dunlavy "Bob" Cocanower Jr., a loving father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, Nov. 20, 2010, during his 63rd year. Service: A celebration of Bob's life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Marty Leonard Community Chapel, 3131 Sanguinet St. Visitation: Family and friends will share tears and laughter at from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Bob and Ray Anne's home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to the North Texas Easter Seal Society, in his memory, is suggested. Robert Dunlavy "Bob" Cocanower Jr. was born Sept. 28, 1947, in Seagraves. He was the son of Robert Dunlavy and Ann Morphew Cocanower. He graduated from R.L. Paschal High School in 1965 and continued his education at The University of Texas. After one semester, Bob transferred to The University of Oklahoma, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. During his junior year at OU, he met his wife to be, Ray Anne Cocanower; they were married on Sept. 3, 1968. Following graduation, he was employed at First National Bank in Fort Worth where he became the youngest trust officer in the state of Texas. In 1975 he started his own accounting practice and became a nationally recognized expert in forensic accounting. Bob was a member of Colonial Country Club. His favorite pastimes included golf, poker and spending time with his pets, Fart and Boomer. He was an avid supporter of Oklahoma University football and women's basketball. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Ray Anne, Bob is survived by his sons, Robert Craig Cocanower and wife, Holly, Brett Walker Cocanower and wife, Ashley, and Chase Dunlavy Cocanower; grandsons, Charles Walker Cocanower and Zachary Austin Cocanower; his mother, Ann Morphew Cocanower; brother, Steve Craig Cocanower; and his nephews, Michael Aaron and Jon Paul Cocanower.
