FORT WORTH -- Robert Harvey Minon, 70, passed away Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at a local hospital after a long illness. He was surrounded by his family and friends. Service: There will be no services for him, as that is what he wanted. Robert was born in Boston, Mass., on Oct. 3, 1940. In 1968, he moved to California, where he worked for the federal government (civil service) as an engineering technician for 38 years. He moved to Fort Worth in April 2005 to be with his wife of 50 years, Ernestine Minon. Robert started golfing when he was 20 years old. He was an avid golfer for 50 years and continued to golf several times a week until his health prevented him from doing so. Bob loved golf. He also loved the friends he golfed with, most of whom Most of whom he has been golfing with for over 20 years. Bob's proudest moments on the course included the three holes-in-one he achieved over the years. Bob had golfed all over the world, but his favorite was Pebble Beach. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. We will all miss him dearly. We love you, Bob, Daddy, Poppies, Papa and Great Papa. Survivors: Wife, Ernestine Minon; daughters, Darlene Minon-Panelli and Michelle Minon; granddaughters, Tiffany Panelli and Ashley Minon; grandson, Christopher Panelli; great-grandson, Skylar Hicks; and brothers, Richard Minon and Jack Minon.
