MANSFIELD -- Robert Wayne Shoemaker, 54, of Mansfield passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, March 15, 2012. Service: Please join us at for the celebration of his life at 11 a.m. Friday, March 23, at Blessing Funeral Home, 401 Elm St., Mansfield. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 22. Rob was born on July 5, 1957, in Fort Worth and was a 1976 graduate of Sam Houston High School in Arlington. He was the son of Robert K Shoemaker of Trenton and Helen Claxton Otto of Arlington and the beloved husband of Christine Shoemaker for over 19 years. Rob loved "southern rock" music and restoring and racing Mustangs. Rob's smile and generosity touched the lives of many. Survivors: Rob will be forever loved and remembered by his wife, Christine; mother, Helen Otto and her husband, Doug; father, Robert K Shoemaker and his wife, Doris; sister, Leslie Baggett of Arlington; his sons, Christopher Keith, Kevin Charles and Keith Alan; father-in-law, Gary Phippen of Tulsa, Okla.; along with many other family and friends.
