ROBERT WAYNE STURDEVANT Robert Wayne Sturdevant, 72, of Gordonville, TX passed away Sunday, August 31, 2008 in Oklahoma. He was born October 5, 1936 in Roanoke, TX to Fred and Maude (Hunter) Sturdevant. He was a big rig mechanic for forty years. He was the co-owner of ARS truck service in Denton. A visitation will be held Thursday, September 4, 2008 from 6-8pm at Denton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, September 5, 2008 at 11:00am at the Denton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Slidell Cemetery. Rev. Luther Slay will officiate. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Anna; son, Lewis Sturdevant of Hanford, CA; daughters, Nona Sturdevant of Krum, and Roberta Archuleta of Hanford, CA; step-daughter, Tracye Crockett of Haslet; brother Harold Sturdevant of Rexford, MT; sister, Margie Irick of Denton; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services are under the direction of Denton Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
