NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Ronald Griffith Toy Jr., 50, passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011. Funeral: 1 p.m. Wednesday in Lucas Funeral Chapel in Hurst. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials: Should friends desire, his memory may be honored with donations to the American Diabetes Association. Ronnie was born March 6, 1961, in Nashville, Tenn., to Ronald Sr. and Clara Belle Morgan Toy. He graduated from Richland High School, where he played the flute in the marching band. Ronnie also played the flute in the University of Texas at Arlington marching band. An avid sci-fi reader, electronics geek, movie buff, firearms enthusicist and practical joker, he was a good friend to many people. He was employed as a computer specialist at Bell Helicopter for over 25 years. Survivors: Sister, Suzie Earnest and husband, David; aunt, Marilyn Brugge; uncle, Ralph Wright Morgan; and numerous cousins.
