BURLESON -- Ross Churman, 59, went home due to a massive stroke on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, surrounded by family and love. Service: 11 a.m. Saturday at Retta Baptist Church. Burial: Private in Hawkins Cemetery. No visitation. Memorials: Ross' heart would be to support the precious orphans in Kenya through Living Word Outreach-African Missions, 107 N. Main, Mansfield, Texas 76063. Ross trained horses his whole life. He was happiest on his place, in his barn and with friends at the coffee shop. But his favorite of all was vying to Olivia's every whim. Ross was one of a kind and a man of great faith. His life was fulfilled and enriched by those whose lives he touched. Ross was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Churman. Survivors: Wife of 36 years, Lari Williams Churman; son, Sloan and Sarah Churman; grandchildren, Olivia Li and soon-to-be-born Elise; mother, Louise Sloan Churman; siblings, Andy and Frances Churman, Jean and Allen Beach and Earl and Gail Churman; brothers-in-law, Kirby and Linda Williams and Shawn and Leigh Williams; and many nieces and nephews.
