KELLER -- Roy E. Potts "Gene," 69, went to be with his heavenly Father, Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008.        Service: Memorial celebration will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at Haltom Road Baptist Church, 3313 Haltom Rd., Haltom City. Please join us as we celebrate his life.        Memorials: the family respectfully requests donations in his name to Universal Health Resources, 817-451-1404.        Roy was born Feb. 6, 1939, in Tishomingo, Okla., to Dola May Smith Sargent and Roy Monroe Potts. He was a resident of Keller. He served his country in the Navy and was a member of Haltom Road Baptist Church. He proudly owned and operated Roy Potts Plumbing for 35 years. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved watching his grandchildren play sports. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, stepfather and stepson.        Survivors: Wife, Patricia Potts of Keller; daughter, Diana Carda of Springtown, Cindy Delgado of Carson, Calif., Darlene Green of Lakewood, Calif., Jeannie Solona of North Hollywood, Calif., Jennifer Erps of Keller; son, Frederic Potts of Lancaster, Calif.; stepdaughters, Angela Dagen of Haltom City, Rebecca Martin of Keller; brother, Donald Potts of Rhome; sisters, Dorothy Maker of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Ruth Pruitt of North Richland Hills; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.
