RUBY HARRIS

FORT WORTH -- Ruby Eileen Stevens Harris died Monday evening, Sept. 27, 2010, during her 80th year.        Service: 11 a.m. Friday in Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Following the service in the cemetery, laughter and tears will be shared by family and friends at the home of Lisa and Dustin Soucy.        Born in Springfield, Ohio, on Nov. 1, 1929, Ruby moved to Texas in 1950 where she met and married Jesse Elgin Harris; Mr. Harris died in 1994.        Her neighbors of the past 27 years recall Ruby as quiet with a friendly "hello," while out on a morning walk or tending the flowers she loved. Her daughter's strong spirit is the testimony of watching another thru adversity, but still keeping on.        Survivors: In addition to her daughter, Mary Ann Frey and her husband, Richard of Cleburne, Ruby's memory will be cherished by her son, David and his wife, Gena, of Fort Worth; eight grandchildren, including Scotty Cavender, her caregiver; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and their families; and many friends made throughout the years.
