FORT WORTH -- Ruby Nell Nicodet, 81, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, died peacefully Thursday morning, July 10, 2008. Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel at Robertson Mueller Harper. The Rev. Katherine Ott, pastor of King of Glory Lutheran Church, will officiate. Ruby Nell will be laid to rest next to her husband, Calvert, in Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation: She will lie in state Sunday afternoon in the Drawing Room at Robertson Mueller Harper; her family will receive friends 4 to 6 p.m. Memorials: Consideration of contributions to a charity of one's choice, in Ruby Nell's memory, is suggested. A native of Comanche, Ruby Nell was born Jan. 29, 1927, the daughter of George Washington and Eva Jewel York Nelson. She married Calvert Francis Nicodet and moved to Fort Worth in the late 1950s. "Juba," as she was called by her family, was a member of King of Glory Lutheran Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, Polytechnic Lodge #420 and the Haltom City Senior Citizens. Her family wishes to thank her doctors and caregivers for their attention and many kindnesses. Survivors: Ruby Nell is survived by her son, Douglas Calvert Nicodet of Fort Worth; granddaughter, Melissa Nicodet McClung and her husband, Mike; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
