FORT WORTH -- Russell L. Michener passed from this life to enter the presence of the Lord on Friday, July 16, 2010.        Memorial service: 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Visitation: The family will greet friends afterwards.        Russell received his call to the ministry while attending an Oral Roberts tent meeting in 1949. During his ministry, Russell touched many thousands of lives sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ while serving as pastor and through his radio ministry. Survivors: Wife, Dorothy; son, Blair Michener and his wife, Belinda; daughters, Donna Lackey and her husband, Steve, and Darlene Bradley and her husband, Troy; grandchildren, Trey Martin, Kristy Dearmore, Spencer Lackey, Angie Bradley, Amy Culver, Taylor Woodall, Courtney Opera and Peyton Branhan; numerous great-grandchildren; and brother, Herman Michener.
