Ruth Ford

Ruth Virginia Ford      FORT WORTH -- Ruth Virginia Ford passed away Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, in Fort Worth of natural causes.        Memorial service: 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Lucas Funeral Home, 137 East Hill St.        Ruth was born March 26, 1924, to Frederick and Gertrude Hough. She was raised in Jamaica Plain, Mass., and lived there until 1960 when the family moved to Winthrop, Mass. Ruth was married to the late William F. Ford for 64 years. She resided in Winthrop until early 2011. Ruth worked for Sawyer & Levis and Belcher's Flowers, but most of all enjoyed being a homemaker. She was an avid fan of bingo and played cribbage and Uno with her friends. Her favorite pastimes were traveling with her son, Frederick, and visiting her grandchildren. Ruth was a very proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy was with her family members from Texas and Florida.        Survivors: Her only son, Frederick C. Ford and his wife, Michele, of Miami, Fla.; grandchildren, Jennifer and Preston Seward, Leslie Ford, and Melissa and Stephen Walker; great-grandchildren, Rebecca Fields, Molly Walker and Chase Seward; and sister, Eleanor Hough Heller of Winthrop, Mass.
