Ruth Virginia Halcomb

FORT WORTH -- Ruth V. Halcomb passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012. Funeral: 3 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Lucas Funeral Home, 517 N. Sylvania. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Ruth was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth and was self-employed for 65 years and retired from the Scoreboard on Seventh Street in Fort Worth. She was loved and will be missed by everyone who knew her. Survivors: Daughters, Karen Wood and Sherry Curry of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Bryan Wood and family of Breckenridge and Shelley Smith and family of Mansfield; great-grandchildren, J.T. Wood, Zak Wood, David Alex Oldham, Kayla Wood and Dylan Oldham; sisters, Ruby Betts of Weatherford and Nellie "Pee Wee" Worlow of Bridgeport; and numerous nieces and nephews.
