BEDFORD -- Sabe M. Comley, 83, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012, in San Antonio. Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity to honor Sabe's commitment to them, www.Habitat.org, or call 1-800-422-4828. Sabe was born Feb. 6, 1929. He began his career with the FAA as a radar controller and supervisor in 1954 at San Antonio and Houston Air Traffic Control Centers. From 1970-1973 he was the supervisor and assistant facility manager at the Albuquerque Control Center until 1973. He was assigned to the FAA SW Region Headquarters in Fort Worth, where he was manager of the SW Region Air Traffic Operations Branch until his retirement in 1984. Sabe then worked as a consultant for the Air Transport Association, SW Region. He was also a volunteer construction worker with Habitat for Humanity. He was an avid bass and crappie fisherman. Sabe was preceded in death by wife, Ruth Klein Comley. Survivors: Second wife, Marcia Comley; daughters, Cathryn Bleecker, Laura Ann Klein, Karen Kropa and Lisa Stanley; son, Charles Dobrzynski and wife, Molissa; sisters, Mary Booth, Esther Garcia and Lois Hart; brother, James W. Comley; grandchildren, John Bleecker and wife, Jordan, Pearce and Evan Lanning, Gabe Johnson, Laura Mazurck and husband, James, Shane and Dustin Stanley, Casey and Emily Dobrzynski; great-grandchild, Adain Johnson.
