Sandra Sterner

HURST -- Sandra Sterner, 67, passed away Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010, at an Arlington hospital.        Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4401 NE Loop 820, North Richland Hills. Bishop Tommy Hamilton will officiate. Interment: Sandra will be laid to rest in Restlawn Cemetery, LaVale, Md., under the direction of Scarpelli Funeral Home, Cresaptown, Md. Visitation: The family will receive friends 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.        Sandra was born Nov. 17, 1942, in Cumberland, Md., to Lester and Mildred Rice Spencer.        Sandra was a retired nurse. She loved genealogy and family history. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a member of the Hurst Ward. She loved flowers. She loved to go hear her musician sons play. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren.        Sandra was much loved by her family, friends and neighbors and will be sorely missed.        Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Sterner and father, Lester Spencer.        Survivors: Her mother, Mildred Peterson; sister, Barbara Hott; children, Tammy Stucki, Terry Maxwell, Rick Bower, Chris Bower, Tabetha Roan, David Bower and Erika Bower; Step-daughter: Kim Long; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
