Sara Bobbitt

ARLINGTON -- Sara Ruth Bobbitt, 81, a retired accountant for Pangburn Candy Co., died Thursday, March 1, 2007 in Palestine.  Funeral: 2 PM Saturday at Blessing Funeral Home. Burial: Rendon Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 PM Friday at Blessing Funeral Home.  Ruth was born in Smith County, TX. on Mar. 16, 1925, the daughter of Jesse and Nora Blackerby. She married Gordon P. Bobbitt in Ft. Worth on Oct. 25, 1946, who preceded her in death. Ruth was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church.  Survivors: Son, Gordon Bobbitt and wife, Carolynne; granddaughter, Kelli Rodda; great grandchildren, Reese and Molly Rodda.
