Sharon "Kuualoha" Blake, 65, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013. Service: 2 p.m. Friday at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller. Interment: She will be laid to rest in Bourland Cemetery in Keller. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Memorials: American Lung Association or Harris Methodist Hospital at Alliance, Fort Worth, Texas. Kuualoha was born Dec. 14, 1947, in Hilo, Hawaii, and she proudly attended Kamehameha schools. She married David Lynn Blake on Dec. 24, 1967, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Kuualoha was a beautiful spirit who was loved by all who met her. She was always friendly and gracious despite years of physical pain and suffering. Ohana (family) was always her most important priority and she loved to spend time wither her mo'opuna (grandchildren). She was a woman of great faith and she is undoubtedly just starting her work in heaven. She will be reunited in heaven with her mother, Sarah Vidinha; hanai parents, Mariah and John Apela; and her two baby boys, Shane and Willis. Survivors: Her husband of 45 years, David Blake; her son, Shannon Blake (Mary); and daughter, U'ilani Messenger (Frank). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brittany, Justin, Allison, Shelby, Hannah and Brian.
