She later moved to Texas, where she met and married Bennie Luskey, who died in April 2010. Since that time, she had been residing at The Legacy at Willow Bend in Plano. She and Bennie loved to travel and for their 63 years of marriage made many wonderful trips together. Sonya was a fabulous cook, known mostly for her "sand tart" cookies, which the recipe of has been passed down in the family. She also loved to dance; she and Bennie were the last to leave a party after dancing the night away. Sonya volunteered for many years at Baylor All Saints and Cook Children's medical centers. She loved being surrounded by her family, especially her precious great-grandchildren. She always had a smile on her face and only had kind words to say about people. Survivors: In addition to her children, Henry Luskey and his wife, Jeanie, of Fort Worth and Rossi Solomon and her husband, Gary, of Dallas, Sonya is survived by her grandchildren, Steven Luskey, Valrie Luskey Eberstein and David, Jennifer Solomom Rappaport and Mark, and Julie Solomon Wolf and Gadi; four great-grandchildren; and brother, Norman Lieberman of Fort Worth.
