Steven Laurence Cockroft

GRAND PRAIRIE -- Steven Laurence Cockroft, beloved brother, uncle and friend passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013 in Grand Prairie. He was 56 years old. Memorial Service: 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst, TX. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Laurel Land Cemetery, Fort Worth. Steven was born in Fort Worth on November 22, 1956. He was a warm and peaceful man who enjoyed making people laugh. His humor was infectious and like his father before him, he always made sure he had a few good jokes to brighten the room. He was hardworking, loyal, and dedicated to his career of many years in Security at Iidon. He enjoyed photography and collecting guns. Steve loved deeply and shared his heart openly. His quiet strength and gentle heart will be forever missed. He was preceded in death by his brother Kevin Cockroft, and his parents, Jack B. and Annie Laura Cockroft. Survivors: Siblings, Jack "Rusty" Cockroft, Susan Kelly and her husband Dr. LeeRoy Kelly; Nieces and Nephews, Laurie Bachorek and her husband James, Sadie and Joseph Bachorek, Chelsea Luera, Dakota Luera, Caleb Chapman and Christopher Cockroft.
