NORTH RICHAND HILLS -- Sue Lang Tennison, 88, passed peacefully into the gates of heaven on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Smithfield Church of Christ. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 1 p.m. to service time Wednesday at the church. Sue was born Christmas Day 1926 in Era, and was the oldest of six children. Her siblings lovingly nicknamed her Boo Sue at an early age. She retired from Southland Royalty in 1991. She possessed many talents, licensed beautician, seamstress and floral designer. She was a tireless volunteer for Smithfield Church of Christ, where she was a member for 54 years and where she loved to sing and worship the Lord. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Essie Lang; husband, Melvin; grandson, Kyle; and brothers, Ray and Dail. Survivors: Son, Jack Tennison; daughter, Judith and Brad Hentzen; grandson, Clayton; sister, Billie Glover; and brothers, B.J, Frank and Jesse.
