NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Teresa F. Whitton, 83, a loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2012. Service: Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, with rosary at 7 p.m. at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church. Teresa, the daughter of Daniel Francis and Jacoba Ruiz Fernandez, was born Nov. 11, 1928, in San Diego, Texas. Following college, she went to work at the Pentagon, where she met her husband, Edmund Richard Whitton. She and Ed lived many years in California where their five children were born. They moved to North Richland Hills in the late 1960s and became active in St. John the Apostle Catholic Church. She was president of the church garden club and was active in the E.P. Ministry at St. John's. Terry was a quilter, a bowler and remained very active in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She was an avid Texas Rangers fan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Ed. Survivors: Sons, Ed Whitton Jr. and wife, Kelly, and Daniel Whitton and wife, Tammie; daughters, Annie Schulte and husband, Travis, Donna Dailey and husband, David, and Dee Dee Sengelmann and husband, Greg; grandchildren, Teri, Chris, Jon, Daniel and wife, Elaine, Megan, Laura, Suzy, Daisa, Mindy and D.J.; and great-granddaughter, Evalyne.
