NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Teri Lee Brazil Edwards, 55, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013, following a brief illness. Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at St. Philip Presbyterian Church, 743 W. Pipeline Road, Hurst. A reception will follow at the church. Memorials: Friends may honor Teri's memory with a donation to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Box 1320, Fort Worth, Texas 76102, or the American Cancer Society. Teri, or "Mamadoo" as close friends knew her, was born April 16, 1958, in Fort Worth to Roy E. and Julia J. Early Brazil. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1980 with a major in journalism. She was with Dillards Advertising in Fort Worth for 26 years, retiring in December 2012. Teri started as a copywriter and ended her career as assistant advertising manager. She took great pleasure in reading, playing cards and having her family around her. Survivors: In addition to her husband of 32 years, John P. Edwards Jr., she is survived by sons, Brian Samuel and Phillip Andrew; one son from her husband's previous marriage, Matthew L. Edwards and his wife, Toni, and their son, Selwin or "Selly"; Brian's fiancee, Katrina and their son, Reese; two aunts; numerous cousins; and many young men and women whose lives she touched.
