MANSFIELD -- Ted K. Fox, 87, a beloved father and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at sunset. Memorial service: 3:30 p.m. Friday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Memorials: Any cancer charity or pet charity, in lieu of flowers. Ted was born Sept. 28, 1922, in Greenville, Ky., the son of John Bourke and Lilie Gertrude Bowman Fox. He was raised in Kentucky until he joined the Army at age 18 and fought in World War II. He was a successful car salesman and loved gardening, his cats and dogs, and cooking, but most of all, he loved his family. Survivors: Daughters, Janice P.F. Lilly, and husband Donald, Brenda Fox, Teresa Fox, Sherri Woolsey and husband Glenn, Dawn Frederick and husband, Tim, Joanie Tatum, Tammy Rattcliff and husband, Lanny; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
