FORT WORTH -- Thomas Henry Barwise III, rejoined our Lord and Father on Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, surrounded by his family. Funeral: 7 p.m. Thursday in the chapel at Robertson Mueller Harper. The Rev. Randall Duncan will officiate. Visitation: Tommy's family will receive friends 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials: Consideration of contributions to a charity of one's choice, in Tommy's memory, is suggested. Tom grew up on a farm outside of Electra, where he was born Aug. 13, 1934. Graduating from Electra High School, he later attended Midwestern University. After proudly serving in the U. S. Army, he moved his family to Fort Worth where he would transition from an employee at General Dynamics to a self-employed, hard working man who took great pride in running his family-operated businesses. Tom retired in 2004. Survivors: He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Wanda; sons, Greg and Brian Barwise; daughter, Tamara Smith; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Walter...
