MANSFIELD -- Thomas E. Day Jr., 83, a retired truck driver, went to be with the Lord Monday, Jan. 1, 2007, in Fort Worth.  Graveside service: 1 p.m. Thursday at Howard Cemetery, Benbrook. Visitation: Friends are cordially invited to attend viewing Wednesday at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield. The family will be present 7 to 8 p.m.  Thomas Edward Day Jr. was born Feb. 9, 1923, in Mansfield, the son of Thomas and Thirsa Day.  He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a loving and devoted husband and father.  Survivors: Wife, Martha Bryant Day; daughters, Sandra Visser and husband, Don, Kathy Whittle and husband, David and Martha Kuykendall and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Aaron Weaver, Bryan Kuykendall, Michael Visser, Amber Kuykendall and Adam Weaver; five great-grandchildren; two sisters; and a brother.
