Thomas Madrid

EULESS -- Thomas Ryan Madrid passed away Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, at the age of 7 after a long battle with leukemia. He was only 2 years old at diagnosis. During four years of treatment, he endured three surgeries, several days of radiation therapy, two bone marrow transplants, hundreds of days in the hospital and countless blood transfusions. Never once did he ask why. He spent his final hours at home with his loving family.        Graveside service: 2 p.m. Friday in Bear Creek Cemetery in Euless.        He was preceded by his grandfather, Elgin Peck.        Survivors: Parents, Kimberly and Richard Madrid of Euless; brothers, David Matthew Madrid and Daniel Logan Madrid; sister, Alicia Michaela Beavers; grandparents, Carlos and Lettie Madrid, Henny De Jong and Troy and Irene Murray; numerous aunts and uncles; and an enormous number of cousins.
