Timothy Shumate

Timothy Wayne Shumate, 47, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008. Timothy was born July 1, 1960, in Fort Belvoir, Va., to Col. John and Eva Corrine Shumate. He graduated from Conway High School and attended the University of Central Arkansas. He also served in the United States Air Force where he gained extensive computer training which became the foundation of his profession. Tim Shumate married Kristie Koziol of Arlington on June 15, 1996. Tim was a thoughtful and loving husband and a very involved parent. He touched the lives of many people with his great sense of humor and fun-loving nature and he made many long-lasting friendships. Timothy was preceded in death by his father, Col. John C. Shumate, and his mother, Eva Corrine Shumate. Survivors: Wife, Kristie Shumate; sons, Chandler and David Shumate of Mansfield, also Alissa and Brandon Shumate of Arkansas; siblings, Nancy Bonner, Stephen Shumate and wife, Sal, Richard Shumate and wife, Bonnie, and Becky Cavender and husband, Lowell; in-laws, Roger and Josephine Koziol, Andrea Harvick, Claudia Koziol, and Loren Koziol; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
