EULESS -- Tommy Charles Daves entered into rest on Monday, Dec. 24, 2012. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church of Euless. Interment: 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Tommy graduated from Lake Worth High School in 1961. He proudly served in Vietnam as a personnel specialist for the U.S. Army. He received his B.S. from the University of North Texas in 1977. He worked at General Dynamics as a machinist and was Local A Lodge president. He was elected as business representative for District Lodge 776 before retiring in 2005 as Grand Lodge representative for the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers Southern Territory. He was active in the Democratic party for 40 years and served as local precinct chair in Euless. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Euless, Local Masonic Blue Lodge and volunteer for Mid-Cities Care Core. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Iris Daves, and brother, Jimmy Daves. Survivors: His wife, Gloria Daves; sons, Grant and Trent Daves; daughter, Chelsea Clark and her husband, Corey; and sister, Barbara Daves.
