KELLER -- Preston "Chip" Tourneir Brown, 44, passed away Sunday, Sept. 10, 2006, in Keller. Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Lucas Funeral Home of Keller, 137 E. Hill St. Burial: 1 p.m. Sept. 21 in Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, Va. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. On Sunday, Sept. 10, 2006, God sent his angel to claim one of his own, Preston T. Brown of Keller. Preston was the son of Preston R. and Barbara Brown of Amherst, Va. He confessed to Christ at an early age at First Baptist Church of Coolwell in Amherst. He was a 1980 graduate of Amherst County High School. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1981, serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, retiring in November 2002. He was a May 2006 graduate of Embry-Riddle University in Daytona Beach, Fla., receiving an associate of science in professional aeronautics. He was employed by the Federal Aviation Administration as an aviation safety inspector in Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by his brother, Victor Brown of Lynchburg, Va.; his maternal grandparents, Levi and Virginia Johnson of Amherst, Va.; and his paternal grandparents, Nathan and Adlean Brown of Lynchburg, Va. Survivors: His loving and devoted wife, Lucilla G. Brown of Keller; sons, Preston Brown Jr. of Louisville, Ky., and Brandon Brown of Keller; daughter, Dyawna Brown of Keller; loving stepson, Larry Ferguson of Houston; granddaughter, Parris Brown of Louisville, Ky.; sisters, Tracey Brown of Amherst, Va., Dana Brown-Hall (Randy) of Madison Heights, Va.; brothers, Stacey Brown (Freida) of Lynchburg, Va., and Christopher Brown of Sterling, Va.; devoted mother-in-law, Emilia White of Tulsa, Okla.; sister-in-law, Kay Porter of Meriadianville, Ala.; "The Barksdale Guys" and their families, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and numerous friends from far and near.
