ARLINGTON -- Trystan Yancy, 17, a junior at Mansfield Timberview High School, passed away early in the afternoon on March 14, 2006 due to complications from knee surgery. ??? Funeral: 2 p.m., Saturday at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church, 2351 Country Club Dr., Mansfield. Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Mansfield. Visitation: 6 to 9 p.m., Friday at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church. ??? Trystan was born September 20, 1988 in Sacramento, California. For most of his childhood he lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, but moved to Arlington for his high school education. ??? Trystan was an offensive tackle for the Timberview football team and the school's president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He was an intense student, fearless athlete, faithful Christian, loyal friend, devoted son and brother, valiant warrior, selfless lover of life, and an angel among wolves. ??? Survivors: He is survived by: Mother, Sharon Nardy, and husband, Drew; father, James Yancy, and wife Mary Ann; sisters, Jamie Yancy, Skylar Yancy, and Kalyca Nardy; brother, Spydel Nardy; grandparents, Bob and Jackie Vanderlinden, Nancy Marcus and James Yancy, Sr.; and by many, many loving family and friends.
