Velva Allison

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Velva Deane Medlinger Allison, 83, returned home to her Lord on Friday, November 25, 2011.        Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Living Word Lutheran Chuch, 2031 W. Northwest Highway, Grapevine.        Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.        Visitation: 1:30 p.m. prior to services.        Velva was born June 11, 1928 to the late Francis D. and Faye Medlinger in Wichita Falls. On April 11, 1946 she married her husband and life partner Elmer P. Allison and shortly after moved to Houston for a brief time. Elmer and Velva then moved to the Fort Worth area where they spent the rest of their lives together and raised their family.        Velva was preceded in death by her infant son, Robert Lynn Allison; and husband of 40 years, Elmer P. Allison.        Survivors: Sons, Gary G. Allison and wife, Connie of North Richland Hills, Steven R. Allison and wife, Lisa of North Richland Hills, and David W. Allison and wife, Molly of Keller; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert M. Medlinger of Wichita Falls, and Ricky L.
