Verla Grimmett

HURST -- Verla Jean Grimmett passed away Friday, May 21, 2010.        Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel Family Worship, 946 W. Pipeline Road in Hurst. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park with military honors. Visitation: Friends will be received 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road in Hurst.        The Lord came first in Jean's life. Jean's favorite activity was singing at her church, Bethel Family Worship, and being with her friends who loved her. Jean was proud of serving as a Wac in World War II. Her hobbies included singing, hunting, fishing, dancing, crossword puzzles, watching westerns and telling a good joke.        Jean brought a song and a smile to everyone she met. She was one of a kind and we will truly miss her. We love you, Ms. Jean.
