Vernon Scott

EULESS -- Vernon E. Scott, 94, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2009, at a local hospital.        Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday in Lucas Hurst Funeral Home State Room, 1321 Precinct Line Road. Interment: Private following the service in Parker Memorial Cemetery Grapevine. Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.        Vernon lived for many years in Joplin, Mo., and finished his working career in Omaha, Neb., then retired in Texas.        Vernon was preceded in death by his wife, Kathrin, after 55 years of marriage.        Survivors: Son, Robert Earl Scott and wife, Karlyn; daughter, Janis Vogl and husband, Larry; grandchildren, Amy Jarrard and husband, Mike, David Vogl, Jennifer Scott and Simone Scott; great-grandchildren, Kellie Jarrard and Tracie Jarrard.
