Veronica Diaz-Burt

Veronica was born in Corpus Christi to Benjamin and Hilda Salas Diaz on November 11, 1964 and raised in Houston.        In 1983, she graduated from Bellaire High School in Houston and pursued her college degree at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos. Throughout her career, Veronica established herself in the financial and insurance industries, and at the time of her passing, was studying to achieve her lifelong goal of being a graphic designer.        Calm and easygoing, Veronica will forever be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, cousin and friend, as well as for her extraordinarily sweet and warm disposition. She lit up every social gathering her family and friends were fortunate to share with her.        Greeting her in heaven were her father, Benjamin Diaz, who preceded her in death in 1985, her grandparents, Delfino and Elia Diaz and Aristeo and Petra Salas. Her family is comforted knowing she is under their wings.        Survivors: Left to cherish Veronica's memory are her daughter, Jessica Lynn Burt and granddaughter, Mia Marie Yeley, mother, Hilda Diaz Carranza and husband Ismael; sister, Monica Y. Townsend and husband Jack; nieces, Rachel and Renee Townsend, numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
