Virginia Polston Falkenberg KELLER -- Virginia Polston Falkenberg, loving mother and wife, passed away Monday, Sept. 1, 2008, after a two-year battle with cancer. Memorial service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor. She grew up in McGregor and later the Dallas area, where she graduated from W.H. Adamson High School in Oak Cliff. She earned her BA and MA from East Texas State University in Commerce and her Ph.D. in psychology from Baylor University. Dr. Falkenberg taught psychology at Eastern Kentucky University and where she served as associate vice president for academic affairs and dean of the gaduate school. She retired as professor emeritus in 2007 and moved back to the Dallas-Fort Worth area to be near family. Survivors: Her husband, Steve; her daughter, Rebecca; her son, David and his wife, Layne; and her sister, Peggy Petri and her husband, Pete.
