FORT WORTH -- Vivian A. Dickey, 96, passed away September 9th, 2008 in Ft.Worth,TX. Services: 2:00pm, Friday September 12th at Lucas Funeral Home,1321 Precinct Line Rd. in Hurst Chaplin Tricia Baldwin, officiating. Internment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Ft.Worth,Tx. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm, Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Dickey, born at home, Jan.16, 1912 in Sidney,IN to the late Fred and Morna Grisso, was the second of 7 children and grew up in Sidney. She later moved to Fort Wayne, IN where she obtained her RN at the Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing. She married Dr. Clifford E. Dickey in 1933 and assisted him in his medical practice until she became a full time mother and homemaker. The family moved to Fort Worth, TX in 1950 where they made their home. Vivian was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, active in auxiliary, loved gardening and entertaining in her home. She was bold, spunky, elegant, graceful and a timeless beauty. She was a real classic. The family would like to express its appreciation to the staff of Trinity Terrace where Clifford and Vivian made their home for 25 years. Vivian was preceded in death by her husband Dr Clifford E. Dickey and daughter Ann Haygood. Survived by her sons: Jan C. Dickey and Dr. Jerry L. Dickey; Grandchildren: Mark and Daniel Haygood, David Dickey and Jennifer Merritt. Vivian was blessed with 6 great grandchildren.
