KELLER -- Walter Howe, 82, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013. MEMORIAL SERVICE: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at Lucas Funeral Home. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lucas Funeral Home. Walt was born on March 26, 1930, in Lawrence, Kansas. He served in the United States Marine Corps 1st Marine Division from 1947 to 1959. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was the recipient of the National Defense medal, Korean Service medal, UN Korean Service medal, and ROK War Service medal. He retired in 1994 after 35 years in the printing ink business. He was preceded in death by wife Waunita S. Howe. SURVIVORS: His present wife, Dixie Howe; sister, Darlene Shea, sons; James Howe, Steven Howe (Linda), Don Howe (Dana), stepchildren; Jeff Parker (Terri), Cindy Poole (Kenney), Greg Parker (Tracey); granddaughter, Michelle Howe, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
