Wanda Perry Burns

BEDFORD -- Wanda Perry Burns, 90, went to be with the Lord, along with her son, Mark Burns, and daughter-in-law, Darla, on Friday, July 19, 2013, in Somervell County. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday, July 26, at Colleyville Assembly of God, 4309 Colleyville Blvd. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church. Wanda was born July 13, 1923, in Terry County to the late Robert M. and Myrtle Dunn Perry. She was one of 11 children, three brothers and eight sisters. Wanda married Thomas Rogers Burns on Oct. 3, 1947. Thomas preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 1998, after 51 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Kathy Burns; son-in-law, Al Suggs; and granddaughter, Wendi Burns. Survivors: Wanda is survived by her sons, Tom Burns of Chico, Alan Burns and wife, Valerie, of Springfield, Mo., Darrell Burns and wife, Faye, of Middleburg, Fla.; daughters, Dianne Scholl and husband, Leonard, of Natick, Mass., Delores Burns Suggs of Lake City, Fla.; siblings, Margene Souland of Longview, Oleta Wallace of Bedford, and Bob Perry of Lipan; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
