Wanda Koncel

BEDFORD -- Wanda Sophie Koncel, 86, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Monday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Wanda, the daughter of Alexsandra and Mary Jannike Waraksa, was born May 3, 1921, in Chicago, Ill. She had been an area resident since 1968 and retired from Stripling & Cox after 27 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward F. Koncel. Survivors: Son, Ed Koncel; daughters, Dorothy Walter and husband, Jim, Deborah Rawlinson and Diane Platt; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, with two on the way; and sister, Loretta Gajewski.
