ROANOKE -- Wayne LeRoy Long, 52, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009. Memorial service: 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at Keller Church of Christ, 205 S. Elm St., Keller. Wayne was born Nov. 3, 1957, in Missoula, Mont., to Clifford and Dorothy Long. He was a hard worker, a faithful member of the Church of Christ and always spoke and lived by the truth. He was a loving husband, father, son, son-in-law, brother and brother-in-law. Wayne served his country in the U.S. Air Force and went on to work 25 years as a heavy equipment/diesel mechanic. In 1999 he began a career as a network administrator in the field of telecommunications. Survivors: He will be greatly missed by his wife, Elaine of Roanoke; his daughter, April of Roanoke; his mother, Dorothy Long of Missoula, Mont.; sisters, Viola Vigil and husband, Don, of Missoula, Mont., and Evelyn Scovel and husband, Day, of Kalispell, Mont.; mother-in-law, Mary Spudich; brothers and sisters-in-law, Herbert Spudich and wife, Betty Ann, Thomas Spudich and wife, Janet, Leonard Spudich and Michael Spudich, all of Pittsburgh, Pa.; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and a host of friends.
