EULESS -- Wayne Milton Priddy, 71, passed away Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, doing what he loved - traveling by motorcycle with friends in Colorado. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at First United Methodist Church of Hurst. A private interment in Calloway Cemetery will precede the memorial service. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wayne's favorite charity, the Methodist Boys Home in Waco, Texas. Wayne, the son of Prentice and Inez Bailey Priddy, was born Jan. 7, 1942, in Dawson. He was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Hurst, where he was a member of the Questers Sunday School Class and where he taught Sunday school. He was also a member of the Euless Police and Fire Alumni Association. Wayne was involved in coaching and umpiring his two sons' youth sports in Euless. After 19 years of service, he retired from Bell Helicopter. Wayne enjoyed staying active, traveling, motorcycling, hunting, fishing and attending his grandchildren's ball games. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jim Priddy and David Priddy. Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Betty; sons, Steven Priddy and wife, Jenny, Michael Priddy and wife, Marianne; grandchildren, Anne Marie, Savannah Kathleen, John Michael, Matthew Boyd, Mitchell Grant and Michelle Anne Priddy; brothers, Dennis Priddy, William Priddy, Terry Priddy; sister, Kay Gatlin; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
