Weldon Bell

MANSFIELD - Weldon Wesley Bell, 60, went home to be with his Savior, Saturday, July 10, 2010, surrounded by his loving family after courageously battling cancer for two and a half years. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Gideon's International. Weldon was born Dec. 26, 1949 in Ft. Worth, TX. He was a generous and caring man, tremendously loved by his family, friends, and co-workers. He was part of the R.E. Sweeney Lumber Co. family for more than 20 years. He loved his wife and daughters, his work, and also enjoyed camping, traveling, reading, and the outdoors. He was a wonderful, devoted father who spent many years participating/coaching his daughters' sporting events. He was an active member at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church. Left with many precious memories are his beloved wife of 39 years, Sammie Jo; daughters, Jennifer and Kimberly; mother, Mary "Mickie" Bell; sister and brother-in- law, Linda and Ralph Richason (Athens, TX); mother-in-law, Billie Hudgins (Cleburne, TX); and many extended family members and friends.
