William Edward "Ed" Johnson, 73 was called to be with the Lord on October 27. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at The First United Methodist of Keller with Dr. Shelly Brooks, Rev. Jason Jones and Rev. Tom Faile officiating. A Loving husband, father and friend, he was known by all as "Ed". He was born in Raton, New Mexico, one of ten children, who started working at the age of twelve in order to support his single Mom and siblings. Upon graduating high school, Ed moved to Albuquerque where he went into the meat business. He went on to have a very successful career in the wholesale food business with Peyton Packing Co. and Congra Foods. Ed was a very outgoing and friendly man and was very involved in the Optimist Clubs. He was also always involved with his churches. Ed was known as "Chef Ed" at First United Methodist of Keller, where he coordinated and cooked for church functions. Ed enjoyed fishing, traveling, cooking and meeting as many people as he could. Ed's sense of purpose, his humor and his optimism will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Ed is survived by his wife of 33 years, Linda; son, Doug of Albuquerque and wife Sandy; his daughter, Susan Rotramal of Boliver, Mo. and husband Allen; grandson, Royce Edward Slawson of El Paso; brothers, Ernest Johnson and wife, Beverly, Fred Johnson and wife, Nancy and David Johnson; and sister, Dorothy Cherry and husband, Larry; as well numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He will be missed by ALL !!
