EULESS -- William Joseph "Joe" Matthews, 75, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church of Hurst. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to the music ministry of First United Methodist Church of Hurst. Joe was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Jane Matthews; and parents, Percy B. Matthews and Tina Holbrook Matthews. Survivors: Wadette Howell Matthews; son, William Matthews Jr.; daughter-in-law, Lauri Matthews, Ph.D.; granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Matthews; sister, Martha Garrett; and nephew Matt Garrett.
