William Middleton

Willam Emmett Middleton, 98, of Conroe and formerly of Hurst passed away Sunday April 15, 2012. He was born November 19, 1913 in Lockney, Texas to parents, Kelsey Douglas and Bessie Holcomb Middleton. He served in the United States Navy during World War II, where he was a decorated soldier and a Pearl Harbor survivor. Mr. Middleton was employed with the Mobil Oil Company as a mechanic for 31 years. William was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vivian JuanitaTroxell Middleton; a brother, Douglas Middleton and two sisters, Louise Firmin and Evelyn Hester. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Bess and Reid Blakeman; granddaughter, Lezli Jones and granddaughter and husband, Lyndi and Chase Rouse; great grandchildren, Owen Timothy Jones, Shelby Reid Jones, Mary Calla Jones, Taylor Nicole Rouse, Logan Charles Rouse and Landry Kate Rouse; longtime caregiver and friend JJ and special family friends Sue Strickland and Bobbie O. Wallace and a host of other family and friends. Visitation hours will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday April 21, 2012 prior to funeral services held at 11:00 a.m. with Timothy Berwick officiating in the Lucas Funeral Home Chapel located at 1321 Precinct Line Road Hurst, Texas 76053. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Dr. Arlington, Texas 76012.
