William Tanner

MANSFIELD -- William David Tanner, 60, went to be with the Lord Friday, Sept. 29, 2006, after a long battle with cancer. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Keller Church Of Christ. Burial: 3 p.m. in D-FW National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Blessing Funeral Home, 401 Elm St., Mansfield. David served his country from 1967 through 1971 in the U.S. Navy as a telecommunications specialist on the USS Constitution and the Kitty Hawk. David was a member of Keller Church Of Christ, which he dearly loved along with his church family. He was a devoted Christian husband and father and was simply adored and loved by all. Prior to being self-employed in the self-serve car wash business for the past 15 years, David was employed with National Pride Car Washes for 12 years. David worked with people he loved and respected, Terry, Deanie and Nancy. Survivors: "Papaw" David is survived by his loving wife, Trish; children, Reed and Stephie Tanner, Casi and Michael Khushf, Jeff and Tami Murphy, Carrie and James Hilton, Missy and Jay Gressett, Ron Murphy, Larry Meister; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; father, Mack Tanner; sister, Pat and Gene Graumann; many nieces, nephews and cousins; along with numerous friends.
